Hi Jim,

It would be wise to allow Windows 7 to fully update. Unfortunately
the updates have to be applied in a specific sequence, so this may go
on for a few re-boots, but will eventually return to a more normal
level.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Windows update problem

Hi List,

This is on behalf of a friend. He has just got a new computer running
win7, jaws 11. When he shuts down, the windows updates startts to
install and when he starts up again it configures his computer. Does
anyone know how to stop all these windows updates from installing on
shut down and how he can configure is computer to only get critical
updates and not all those unwanted ones?

Any help appreciated.
