[access-uk] Re: Windows Messenger scripts for jaws 6.0 wanted

Yeah Peter - think a lot of people are in the same boat as us. According to
a techie who I once asked, Windows Messenger was coded in such a way that it
would work better with XP/2000. But if this is true, why is MSN available
for these platforms as well?

Another difference I've heard about the 2 clients, is MSN is suppose to have
better plug-ins for webcams etc, which I guess we as blinkies wouldn't class
as number 1 priority. However it does sound more like a feasable difference.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark,
I'm of two minds about msn and windows mesenger myself. Which one to
use. They both do the same thing. For the life of me, I don't know why
microsoft put out the two clients. Peter

Hi Peter,

>From what I've heard, Messenger 6.2 is sort of useable with JFW 6.
Personally I just use Windows Messenger, so can't be entirely sure.

I was under the impression Andy was talking specifically about this as
opposed to MSN, but I could have got my wires crossed *Smile*.

Cheers,

Mark

So mark, Messenger 6.2 isn't yet ready for Jaws? Other than that, version 5
or higher is okay. Probably as high as version 6?
