Yeah Peter - think a lot of people are in the same boat as us. According to a techie who I once asked, Windows Messenger was coded in such a way that it would work better with XP/2000. But if this is true, why is MSN available for these platforms as well? Another difference I've heard about the 2 clients, is MSN is suppose to have better plug-ins for webcams etc, which I guess we as blinkies wouldn't class as number 1 priority. However it does sound more like a feasable difference. Which one to use. They both do the same thing. For the life of me, I don't know why microsoft put out the two clients. Personally I just use Windows Messenger, so can't be entirely sure. I was under the impression Andy was talking specifically about this as opposed to MSN, but I could have got my wires crossed *Smile*. Other than that, version 5 or higher is okay. Probably as high as version 6?
