Hi Jim,

as you may have already found out by now, setting wmp as default in Vista is done using the default programs section of the control panel, rather than in the options dialog of wmp. Here are the steps if you need them: 1. Open default programs in the control panel ( you can just type default into the search box in the start menu).
2. Tab to the Set you default programs link and open it.
3. Tab to the list view of programs, and select wmp.
4. Tab to the set this program as default button, and press it.

David.

original message:
Hi List,

Will someone on the list please tell me how to get wmp to be my default player. Currently, whenever I try to open a music file it comes up in Nero. I would like to open all music files in wmp, and I would appreciate it if someone could
tell me how to achieve this. I've tried right clicking a music file and
although run with wmp is there, it will only run that one file and I have to
right click every music file to get it to run in wmp.

Running jaws 9 with vista.

Thanks for any help.
Jim.
