ok Mandy, I know I'm very very late with this but jaws comes with scripts for windows live messenger, unless you are using a cracked version of jaws of course. You can get started easily enough if you read the help information for windows live. If you are using another screenreader, there may be help for that but I'm fairly certain you use jaws.
