Hi, Steve!

Many thanks for your help. Unfortunately the suggestion didn't work. We'll have to wait until we can get a sighted person to help.

At 16:40 18/06/05, Steve Nutt typed furiously:

Hi Frank,

Here is one thought for you.

1. Boot up.

2. Press enter to bypass the error, so that Window-Eyes loads.

3. Now you have Window-Eyes loaded, take it out of Load Before Startup, so
that it doesn't load at all.

4. Now reboot the machine.

5. When you hear the hard disk stop chuntering as I call it, then instead
of hitting enter, hit control-alt-W to load Window-eyes.

If you are lucky, Window-Eyes may come in and read out the error message.

Just a thought.

All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Windows 98 SE Won't Run Automatically

Hi, Listers!

When I boot up my Windows 98 PC with the latest version of Window-Eyes,
Windows doesn't run automatically and I have to press the Enter Key after a
few minutes.

Any ideas how to rectify this. It started a week or so ago for no apparent
reason.

Thanks for your help.
