[access-uk] Re: Windows 8 with JAWS question

There are two sorts of Windows 8.0 available. The vast majority of machines
will have Windows 8.0 Pro on which therefore require a JAWS Professional
licensing. There are however some machines with Windows 8.0 (no suffix). This
is equivalent to a Windows Home Premium and therefore only require a JAWS
standard license.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Windows 8 with JAWS question

Is anyone using Windows 8 with the standard version of JAWS? I am trying to
seek clarification for someone who is thinking of purchasing a laptop, but
has been advised that only JAWS Professional works under Windows 8.

Many thanks.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
