But what frustrates me is that I can't shrink my C drive enough so that I can install Windows 7.0 on a second partition.

Subject: [access-uk] Re: Windows 7 dual boot

Yesterday afternoon I completed installing VISTA back onto a second
partitino of a hard drive that already had a functioning Windows 7.0
beta on it. Once VISTA was installed Windows VISTA wade the default
operating system and placed itself at the top of the list in which
Windows 7.0 also lurked.

Even after a fair bit of work on VISTA my Windows 7.0 partition is fa
more functional as regards devices that actually work than the newly
installed VISTA operating system. It is quite interesting comparing
getting both going, and it seems to me Windows 7.0 is working out
somewhat better in this respect.

I also activated a second copy of Windows 7.0 in order to test the
Homegroup network functionality and this is the first time I have run
into problems with the new O/S. It looks to me like there are still
aspects of the documentation to be finalised here and improvements
madeto the actual Homegroup feature itself.

I can however report that dual boot is completely possible between these
two O/S's and that you can change the default via the Windows 7.0
control panel, those who know where it is in VISTA should have little
trouble locating it in Windows 7.0 as well.

Regards.
