Oh I didn't think they meant that, I thought they meant you could basically get windows to function is if there were no screen connected, saving on those resources. I must have misunderstood.

Peter, it's in the System section. Click advanced settings, click the first settings button, and select "adjust for best performance" in the group of radio buttons, and click ok. To be honest though, on my machine with 2 GB of RAM and a 1.46gHZ dual core processor video doesn't seem to be resource intensive. However I set it this way because I can't get used to the task switching capability introduced in Windows Vista for some reason.

Hi, somebody on one of these lists last week said that you can go in to control panel and turn off the video resources in some way i.e. the image then isn't on the screen. They also said this makes it a bit quicker. Does anybody know where this is please as I couldn't find it in the obvious places.
