Hi All
Thanks very much for your help on this topic. I
now have Audible up and running again and looking
like it did in Windows 7 - and just as accessible
I believe. For anyone looking for further help
running Audible on a laptop with windows 10 this
article on the Audible site helped me.

If you are using a Screen reader you should not
fuse the Audible App for Windows 10.
Instead download and install the previous
versions of Audiblel manager for Windows 7 8 etc.
It works fine on windows 10 and is accessible to Screen Readers.

Subject: [access-uk] Windows 10 Audible app
Hi All
Just getting used to Windows 10, I think, and
I've downloaded the Audible app which seems
horrible with Jaws 17 and NVDA both. Are blind people able to use this app?

Hi Jackie,
IâÂÂd say yes it is. But it does have a free
version that doesnâÂÂt do real time scanning, which you can try.
All the best

Hi Steve
But is Malwarebytes accessible with a reasonable footprint?
Kind regards,

Roger,
Defender is not only a firewall, it looks after antivirus as well.
I would recommend Malwarebytes as well though, as
it picks up malware that Defender doesnâÂÂt.

Good morning
Firstlly many thanks for the help with Control
Panel. Whilst on it I looked at Widoows Defender.
Before I moved to 10 there was a discussion on
this which I didnâÂÂt take a lot of notice of
being on 7 but I did see that it was felt
Defender was all that was needed when on 10. When
my new machine came back to me the paid for
versions of Malwarebytes and Avast were not
re-installed. I was not too bothered as the
renewal is the end of February to early March and
the job would be done by Defender. Now I have
access to the control panel I find Defender seems
to be only a firewall. Will this be adequate for
my needs or should I re-install my previous programs?
Many thanks Roger
