The Audible App available from the Windows 10 app store, otherwise known as
universal app is not accessible, at least it was not the last time I tried it.
Instead you need to download the Audible Software for versions of windows
previous to Windows 10 from www.audible.co.uk
It work fine on Windows 10 and is accessible.

Hi David
You advised John to “download and install the previous versions of Audiblel
manager”. Are you saying that the current version of Audible manager is not
user friendly with screen readers? If not where do I download the previous
version?
Best wishes
Henry

If you are using a Screen reader you should not fuse the Audible App for
Windows 10.
Instead download and install the previous versions of Audiblel manager for
Windows 7 8 etc.
It works fine on windows 10 and is accessible to Screen Readers.

Hi All
Just getting used to Windows 10, I think, and I've downloaded the Audible app
which seems horrible with Jaws 17 and NVDA both. Are blind people able to use
this app?
Talk soon, John

Hi Jackie,
I’d say yes it is. But it does have a free version that doesn’t do real
time scanning, which you can try.
All the best
Steve

Hi Steve
But is Malwarebytes accessible with a reasonable footprint?

Roger,
Defender is not only a firewall, it looks after antivirus as well.
I would recommend Malwarebytes as well though, as it picks up malware that
Defender doesn’t.

Good morning
Firstlly many thanks for the help with Control Panel. Whilst on it I looked at
Widoows Defender. Before I moved to 10 there was a discussion on this which I
didn’t take a lot of notice of being on 7 but I did see that it was felt
Defender was all that was needed when on 10. When my new machine came back to
me the paid for versions of Malwarebytes and Avast were not re-installed. I was
not too bothered as the renewal is the end of February to early March and the
job would be done by Defender. Now I have access to the control panel I find
Defender seems to be only a firewall. Will this be adequate for my needs or
should I re-install my previous programs?
Many thanks Roger
