the DG834G should work OK but there are various releases. You may find version 2, version 3 or version 4 releases of this product. Firmware is not interchangeable and the only way of knowing is by the label on the bottom of the box. the DG834G V3 and V4 are vista compliant.
the problem with EBuyer is you can't ring anyone up to ask as far as I know. There is little or no technical support. the company is a box shifter. My advice would be that if you feel you have decent knowledge of routers and the like, use a company like EBuyer. you can get some good bargains. If you will need handholding in any way then forget it. Buy from a more reputable source with technical support available, e.g. a local independent computer shop.

Hi all - Been absent for a few days, but back now and need to crack on! I've found the below wireless router/modem on Ebuyer for under £38, but is it a good spec for setting up my pc and laptop on a wireless network? It bothers me that it doesn't mention Vista, when talking about the operating systems that it is compatible with! My PC that will be on the network runs under XPHome, but the laptop under Vista home premium. Anyway, I'd appreciate thoughts on it, and any suggestions maybe for other Netgear router/modems that might for some reason be a better choice. Here then is the spec:This 802.11g wireless router adds considerable power and flexibility to your network.
