Hi

This is a 5/2 or 7 day programmable timer thermostat.. It has 4 buttons on the unit for manually operating it, yes you can do everything from the stat on the wall if you have iether a good memory or some sight. Two of the buttons are up and down for the temp, but as for me I like to know what I'm moving it from and to.

The app lets yiou set all programmable timers and temperatures, lets you set the boost and advance functions, as I mentioned earlier the only iffy bit is changeing the current settings but this is dooable, nad the developer of the app is amending it to make it truely functionable.

I suggest you go to the web site from which you can download the app and also log into the web based control centre via a demo login. There are documents for installation and manual. Have a peruse, you can also call the customer service number.

Hi

Sorry to be a pain, but could you elaborate a little more on the thermostat
you have just had installed.

Is it possible to use it manually on the wall, e.g. can you turn your
heating on, off?

What exactly can you do with the app? Can you set your timer, put the temp
of the water and heating up and down?

I'm so fed up with ours, and really want to be able to control the dam
system, as and when I want to, lol, Is it too much to ask?

Thanks for anymore help.

A frustrated Terry

Hi Michael

I have just had a programmable thermostat installed. I did a lot of
experimenting with hte iphone apps available and found the best one to be
from Inspire Home Automation. I found the BG app not to be accessible for
turning up and down the temperature and setting the temp for the programs
were also if I remember correctly was also not accessible. I tried Owl
Intuition, the app did not have a demo mode and there seemed to be no way to
contact them via telephone on their web site. I thin I tried a couple more
apps with little success, the Solus stat is not at all accssible, there is
no demo mode but contacting the manufacturers they confirmed that their app
is not accessible using voiceover.

So the one I went for was the Inspire Home Automation stat. This is a wired
thermostat that will work any boiler that uses a two wire configuration, a
wireless model is under development to be launched later this year. The app
is fully accessble, but saying that the temperature controls are a little
awquard, I have been in contact with the firm and they are going to amend
the app to make it fully accessible. The web site does not have standard
elements and is quite difficult to access using jaws, but almost alll of the
account details can be done via the iphone app, just a few items need to be
done on the web site, and thisn I found not to be so difficult.

Sorry if I've droned on, and here is the web site for you to look over, I
would suggest that if you have any concerns or questions you contact the
support number, they are very obliging.
