I have only recently come to Whatsapp, having thought it was mostly for the
sharing of photos.
But my German penfriend pointed out that we could make free calls using
Whatsapp and a group of friends also use it to leave both text and voice
messages, but I think I am right in saying we are all doing so using our
mobile phones.

Hi Clive

Whatsapp has a non-standard edit box. This means you can type in it without
hearing what you are typing and you can only correct what you have just
typed as you can't move the cursor through the filed but Backspace works.

When I discovered this last year I wrote to Kapsys Support and they said
there might be an amendment in a future update. Unless anything has changed,
we are all still waiting.

I have not used Whatsapp for some time, but I don't think anything has
changed.
