Hi Darran We have the ReadEasy stand-alone portable scanner from Visionaid which has very good recognition. It is a camera-based machine which we keep downstairs. It isn't cheap, but it is very useful for scanning our mail, Talking Books, food packaging and other items. I can let you have more info off list if you wish?
