I am not planning to go down the touch screen route just yet, but if I were, I
think I would go for the android rather than the iphone.

  Hi Peter,

I have just been playing with Google Now, and it is indeed impressive. It
will tell me when my next bus is, by looking at my GPS location and working out
my nearest bus stop. It will optionally put that in the notifications bar on
the phone, so that if I'm travelling, I can just touch the top of the screen
and hear my next bus or train. It is truly awesome.

It should be said that you can do similar with iPhone by buying Nextbus, but
I did say buying. This is all part of the Google operating system that is
Jellybean.

If you see me at Sight, ask me about Google Now.

  All the best

  Steve

Of particular interest is Google Now. Tells you next buses, weather, all
kinds of good stuff, and you can talk to it as well. And of course, it works
all over the world. Siri eat your heart out!
