Hi Chris.You can not erase cd or dvd recordable media once they are written. They can not be used again even if the data was destroyed, so again destruction is probably your best bet if you use them to store personal files.

I have and if I want to clear disks, as I have a bulk eraser run offthe mains, can simply put the disk both sides onto the top, press the button, cleared, disk still available to use / sell / eat / whatever you want to do with it.
