Hi IbrahimYes, some people do want floppies. I use them for a keyboard (nusical). Manykeyboards still use them for some reason, although the latest models do use memory cards.

Hi Colin. Firstly, nobody wants 3.5 inch floppies anymore, secondly if carol is receiving personal and otherwise sensitive material by floppy disk, the surest way of preventing access to her data is total destruction of the disk. If you've the skill, no matter how suffisticated the equipment, traces remain and determination is all that is required to recover data. All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin Howard" <colin@xxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, February 12, 2009 6:13 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: What to do with 3.5 Floppy DisksGreetings, Carol, do you have an eraser, such as used for cassettes or reel-to-reel tapes? I have and if I want to clear disks, as I have a bulk eraser run off the mains, can simply put the disk both sides onto the top, press the button, cleared, disk still available to use / sell / eat / whatever you want to do with it.
