Is version 9 very different? My friend is not very good at assimilating new
features, and I am concerned that she will find it a very steep learning
curve. I suppose I had better go onto the FS website and find out more.

I would check with Blazie, since I am quite certain this is
simply a case of an out of date web page.

JAWS 9 is very definitely the current version being shipped
as can be confirmed at the developer's web site
http://www.freedomscientific.com/.

Iain

I looked on the Blazie site over the weekend, and it is
version 8 they are
selling at present. All the upgrades listed go to version
8. I wonder
whether 9 has been out long enough for them to have it in
stock.

if your friend is just about to buy JAWS, will it not be
version 9?

I have JAWS 6, AND REGULARLY USE hsbc WITH NO PROBLEMS, JUST
CURSORING
AROUND TO READ MY DETAILS. It does make you wonder what is
the matter with
JAWS 8, and I am concerned because a friend may be just
about to buy JAWS,
and it will be version 8 she gets.
