Thanks George and Benjamin - that's not ideal, but at least I know I'm not missing something, and it's not a Jaws issue. I'll send the BBC some feedback and see what they say.

Peter - thanks for your reply but I don't think using the Jaws cursor will help as the links are not functional for anyone.

Cheers
Kirsty

Speaking from a sighted perspective, I find this site very
strange.

Yes, there are "Listen" links, and as you have found, there
is also the word "listen" which is not a link.

So it is not your screen reader that is at fault, but the
BBC site me thinks.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Website accessibility question

Hi all

Could one of you with understanding of website design please
help me by
answering the following question?

I'm using Jaws. Why do some of the "listen" links on the
below link work,
whereas others don't?

Some of them lead to a sample of the track, whereas others
are not defined
as a link, cannot be clicked on, and Jaws just says "bullet
listen".

How do you reach the content behind these links? Can you do
it with a mouse?
Why do only some of them behave in the way you would expect
them to?

The link is:

Many thanks
Kirsty
