Thanks for the prompt reply, Ian. Now that I know that it is not a peculiarity of my system I will draw Alasdair's attention to it and suggest a rethink. Thanks also for your info about saved feeds. Unfortunately I briefly tried the Stand alone version and it appears that the latter uses the same location for them deep down within Documents and Settings as the normal Webbie. As a result I now have a load of feeds presumably included as defaults with the installers. I can probably recover my feeds from a backup, but it's rather a nuisance.
