Hi, it may be that if you select a programme with a parental guidance warning on it that you then have to tick the box to tell them that you are over 16. If a programme won't play I usually do a refresh of the jaws buffer by pressing INSERT Escape then press x to find the check box. check it then press ok. programmes should then play without a problem after that. It can take quite a few seconds compared to the BBC website for programmes to begin playing.
