I forgot to ask, Dean, have you actually managed to create/change addition FTP accounts using Heart Internet control panel? I tried but couldn't managed to do more than browsing my FTP folders.

If you're going to pay Heart Internet money keep a close eye on what they're charging you money for. Dude, they took money off me to renew my domain registration but they renewed my host account with them instead and left my domain registration to expire :@.

I can let you know what happens with me if anyone is interested after I contact them on Monday. Meanwhile if you managed to control your FTP accounts using Heart Internet control panel I would be interested to hear from you.

Cheers,
Amro

Thanks for this Dean, I'm actually with Heart Internet at present. Although I'd have to admit that their prices can be attractive, however, they nearly caused me to lose my domain name due to their sloppiness. Their focus is on getting your money and then they don't care.

Cheers,
Amro

I have an account with Heart Internet and although I haven't used it much it does seem very accessible. They do a free account for you to have a play with first to get a feel for things. You can find them at:

Thanks David. Any other suggestions people? I don't want to sign up to a host company just to find afterwards that their control panel and web mail services are inaccessible!

Hi David, what is the URL please? .co.uk returns page can't be found, and
com takes me to a sort of hardware solutions company page.

Subject: [access-uk] Web hosting recommendations

Hello folks,

Could someone recommend a good reliable web hosting company? One that its
control panel is accessible so I can independently control my email
settings, FTP server aspects and so on. I would need a web email based
option too so I can check my POP3 email when I'm away from my computer. It would be good if the firm has a decent support team too! Any suggestions
please?

Cheers,
Amro
