Kidding? Hardly, if there's something that I'm passionate and committed to it's the equality and implementation of the social model.

As for campaigning and getting back-up though Damen, it's a lonely life mate, and that's where the reference to the chips being down comes in.

Good on you, I hope you see it through with equal determination and contention, for campaigning needs contention if it's to be successful, we only have to look at the success of the anti hunt campaign and the blood and violence spilt out by them over the years in the name of civilised demonstration.

Perhaps it's time the masses of us realised that we have our own destiny to control, take back the campaigning from the 'worthy institutions' who are nothing more than preoccupied with the continued employment of philanthropic 'do gooders' without; to quote them in another ridiculous and bazaar campaign 'sight problems', re-establish the ownership and ensure that the real campaigns secure some real results for the actual visually impaired

You're kidding Colin, I already do it, I just fancy a bit of backup. We
might all get a bit further.

Oh and regarding other campaigning, have you seen my new site
www.BooksBeforeWeDie.com ... I am having a proactive year.

Hmmmm, I wonder who we could recruit with a high profile position and marketting tool to advertise and promote such a campaign? What we need is someone with some influence and a publication tool to get the message out! any thoughts Damen? Ya know something listers. We could be so much more proactive as a group when trying to push for web accessibility on those stubborn sites that won't address our emails or attempt change. WE've got some amazing communities on the blind techie lists in this country, this is one of them, and collectively we could be quite a big force. For instance, targeted email campaigns. Targeted ringing of telephones in their office, etc.

All grand stuff, not impossible nor difficult to organise at all given
any enthusiasm, and that brings me back to an earlier message.

So, just how serious are you Damen? or was it a moment of personally
musing whilst you awaited your next piece of inspirational creativity?
When the chips are down would you be as conspicuous by your absence?

Colin F
