Hi Mike.

Absolutely, its a pleasure. Make sure you go in to positioning settings and disable all but Bluetooth gps methods. I don't know what phone you have but most now have built in gps navigation, but an external gps receiver is definatly more accurate especially when walking.

All the best and enjoy ovi maps, I hope you like it. The offer's still open if you need help setting up with initial settings.

Take care, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim,

Thanks for this Ibrahim. Your advice on Ovimaps has been very helpful; I've
obtained the faq material from Blindsea and since WF is now redundant I
shall concentrate on getting to grips with Ovimaps. Incidentally, will it
run using an external satnav?

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike.

No, wayfinder licenses are no longer being sold so 2 weeks use is all you
can get on any one phone. My suggestion to you is that you check out ovi
maps depending on whether you have it installed on your handset and
compatibility with your specific model, however it is certainly proving a
popular replacement particularly if you have some vision or a good memory
for the placement of menu items.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Folks,

Now that Wayfinder has gone open-source, is use of the software available
on
a longer trial basis than 2 weeks. I've used up my trial time, and have
been
offered the purchase of an extension, but I can't find any further
information about this. I'm not going to purchase a licence for 4 months
use.

Any help welcomed, with thanks,

Mike
