Hi Carol,

Thing about TW Blue and Chicken Nugget for example, is they have a graphical
user interface, so you can just use the normal arrow keys.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

I apqeciate your input. I think I'm still left not quite knowing what I
write in for various keystrokes, which was probably my sticking point at the
beginning; but maybe that will become clear once I have a go!

I'll definitely try TW BLUE if I don't get anywhere.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Carol,

Go to Help, and there is all the documentation.

But also, Control-Windows-K will bring up the keymap.  Go down the list
and redefine all the keys to whatever you want.

Or better still, use TW Blue or a proper Twitter client.  I don't think
The Qube is any longer being developed.

All the best

Steve

Thanks Steve but, do you know how to get the keys to work, because I don't
know how this mapping thing works, certainly with the keystrokes that The
Qube expects, so if you can offer any further help with this, please let me
know.

Anyway, thanks for the confirmation on Kurzweil. I think I'll look at my
options before going that one.

Hi,

You will have to upgrade K1000 for sure, if you want to use it with
Windows 10.

The Qube, you can get it to work, but you'll have to go into the Keyboard
Manager and redefine the keys, as Control and Windows keys together are
hijacked by Microsoft now.

Subject: [access-uk] Windows 10 UPGRADED--and NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS!

Hi all,

I have two specific questions right now.

The first is, can anyone confirm whether or not Kurzweil 1000 V11 works
with Windows 10? I have been told it doesn't and I'd have to upgrade but,
before committing myself as I don't use it often, would be
interested to get     confirmation on this.

The second, again about an oldie programme, is whether or not anyone
has got the Qube to work with Windows 10? Mine loads OK but the
keystrokes CTRL6WIN6/EI DOWN or UP ARROW, or using with left/right arrow
do not work, though CTRL6HOME and also END do take me to the beginning and
end of my list and reads out the two respective messages with Jaws. If
anyone has got this working and is prepared to help me through any keystroke
changes that need to be made then I'd be most grateful.

Thanks for any information/help you can offer.
