[access-uk] Re: WINDOWS 10, A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS!

Solved the spell checker and, as I thought, I'd forgotten about Thunderbird having its own because I never use it, nagging at me! <Smiles>

Just about to look if you have any other messages lurking ...

Ring whenever you're ready, though nothing's desperate ...

Hi. No worries, we can discuss this when we next speak. I'll be in touch later
today off list.

Cheers,

Mo.

, that's the problem, except that the only programme I've written
extensively in is of course my email, but I don't recall ever spell
checking with Thunderbird before.

Guess I'll take a look tomorrow on that one.

Thanks for the Guide sent earlier. I saw you'd sent another.

No,

The Cube is loading, but the CTRL+SHFT arrow keys don't work and so
it is rendered useless, unless someone knows what to do! <Smiles>

BTW: I notice I'm getting spellchecked and not sure where it's
coming
from so what to turn off and where!

Hi Carol.

The guide that I sent earlier lists improvements you should make to
file explorer. If you start file explorer in PC view then change
the
view from detailed to list, this will improve your experience and
make it a bit more like windows 7. secondly, the qube did seem to
be
running earlier? is it not working now?

cheers,

Mo.

Hi all,

I migrated to Windows 10 today and understood, as a number of folk
have told me, that some "love it" whilst others "hate it"!

Now, I'm not really interested in that right now ... but have a
couple of questions.

First, has anyone successfully got the Cube working with Windows
10? I'm not holding my breath but want to be sure it's not going
to
work before I decide to move to something a little more updated
...
(It's a very old favourite, you understand).

Second, I've discovered, as I was also told by a very good friend,
that the file structure is a bit difficult to get around. I'm
finding it rather "interesting", a bit like a "maze" but I haven't
found my way through as yet. I haven't yet altered the layout
settings and this of course may be the answer and will help me,
but
I'm trying first to get used to what I have ... and learn some
more
things about Windows 10 before I go changing things! If anyone has
suggestions for me on either of these two aspects, please let me
know - and thanks, in advance!
