Hi Ed.

You’ve turned off speech, all you have to do is double tap the screen with
three fingers together and that’ll get it back. I’m on my hols at the moment
so if you do reply, I wont see your email immediately, sorry about that.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] Voiceover stopped speaking on iPhone

Hi,

This morning Voiceover has stopped speaking on my iPhone 3GS and I don’t hear
any clicks when I move my finger around the screen. Also, there is no speech
when I press the home or power buttons.

However, when I call my mobile number from a landline, Voiceover does speak out
the number and the clicks have returned if I navigate the screen while the
phone is ringing.

I thought there might be a problem with the volume and have tried adjusting it
immediately after pressing the home button, but to no avail.

I’ve also rebooted the phone without success.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try?

Thanks;,

Ed
