useful for getting round very basic bits of windows when for some reason or other your ordinary screenreader will not work. Narrator is absolutely not a screenreader and cannot really be used effectively and productively for even the most basic tasks. you can use it to navigate some bits of the windows operating system if you need to but that's about all.
