Hi all, note that depending on what processor is in the netbook, having a high amount of RAM may not help. You've got to think about the read and right speeds of the hard drive, and the speed of the processor. If you had a 500 MHZ processor for example, no matter if you had 1 or 10 GB of RAM Vista would still not perform very well. If someone upgrades to 2GB of RAM virtualization, even for Vista guests, will run fine despite the slow performance you get with virtualization. -- Chris Hallsworth E-mail: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx MSN: CH9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Negoslav Sabev" <negi4a@xxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 6:39 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Vista on a Netbook > Yes, but don't virtualize on the netbook, because if you have 1gb ram, it > won't let you run vista, cause you need to give the virtual machine at > least 1gb, and you have only one gb, and it's used by your real computer. > The virtual machine uses your real ram and hard drive space for storring > the virttual hard disks. > Negoslav > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2008 8:49 PM > Subject: [access-uk] Re: Vista on a Netbook >> Yes.
