[access-uk] Viruses that block MSE download?

Hello listers
Does anyone know, (Mo?) if there are any viruses out there that would block
me from downloading Microsoft Security Essentials?
I have some odd behaviour on my PC and I went to the MS site to download MSE
and it keeps telling me I can't download it because the site is down. I
don't believe that can have been true for 8 hours.
