Well, on booking my assistance for a flight today, having told the guy this was required because I was blind we then clarified that I would need some identification. He recommended a passport or a driving licence. We both had a good laugh about that! Obviously the guy let the script take over his mind for a moment, something which in a call centre must be very easy to do and something which in the call centre environment I can easily forgive. They are offering to make the menus accessible, even if the format you might want is other than electronic. But I would be happy with that if I had asked and got that response. But menus? Lunching on a train? Phew! I take my own packed lunch wherever I go. I've certainly been known to buy a carton of hot water - oh sorry tea - but that's as far as it goes unless I'm really stuck.
