Have you applied the beta update?
I managed to do this and this may be why I am not getting so many of the GPS
issues people are reporting and certainly herer the Internet radio is fast and
rock solid.
It is a little odd that some peple were able to get the beta as an offered
update and others apparently not.
My GPS is nowhere near as bad as you are reporting but I do agree that there is
not enough warning of crossing so at the moment, to many times I get the
announcement of a crossing just after I have crossed a road , but I have never
experienced the large 200 yard errors you are getting.
I have reported lack of sufficient crossing alert to Humanware.
The Trek is easily more accurate than my trekker but the Trekker more reliably
gives me warning so I think it is a software tweak needed to drag back the
crossing alert rather than an issue of GPS accuracy.
Given the variation in experience it might be that I am running beta firmware
or that alternatively I wonder if there are a rogue batch of devices out there.

I don’t usually say too much on here but I would say that I disagree with the
GPS I think it is rather poor in my opinion. I do have a Tracker Breeze and
I have tested them both, The Gps on my Victor/trek was giving a lot more
information points of interest but, it was telling me things that I had already
passed. So if say I had just crossed a road it would tell me about 200 yards
after the event. I also would say that my GPS was about as long as a football
pitch is, which to me, is simply no good. When I was just standing outside my
house the GPS was telling me that I was stood on another street which was not
that close to me. Then as I was walking along my GPS was telling me thins
which were in the opposite to where I was walking too. so if I were a stranger
in this town then I would be totally confused. I just hope that the update
will sort all this out.
Hopefully everything will be hunky doorry.

ironed out as I think the product was rushed out before it was completely
ready. Having said that, though, the bugs are only minor and once they are
put right, the Trek should be an excellent piece of equipment.
