I would expect the 12 would allow you to jump directly to pages in a book.

The Victor Reader Stratus 12M, which has a numeric keypad, and the Victor
Reader Stratus 4M, which has navigation keys, both play SD cards. According
to the Manual they can play Audible files, but I have not tried it.
