some media content in the relevant folder?
So Talking Book may not be announced if there are no actual Daisy Books
or ePub books in the DTB folder and similarly for Audible etc.
I cannot check this as I do not have an empty card to hand but this may
be the case from memory.

Hi Steve,
Yes, I asumed the Stream would generate the necessary folders on a new
SD card but this didn't happen on a Kingston 16G card until I
formatted the card as suggested by Brian Lingus and all the folders
appeared.
I then copied the music files into the music folder on the Stream, so
far so good. But after copying a book into the "Other Books" Folder
which appeared to work I discovered that all bar the music folder and
Notes folder have disappeared from the Stream list. The Stream still
recognises the folder structure on the other SD cards I use.
I will purchase another SD card of a different make and see what
happens then.

Hi Jim,
You have to put file types into reserved folders on the Stream.
For example, if it is a Daisy book, you need to copy it into $VRDTB.
If Music, then $VRMUSIC
And so on. Stream generates these folders for you.
All the best
Steve

Hi Lists,
Apologies for cross posting on this issue.
I want to put items onto a new memory card in my new gen VRS, ie
an audible book and several music tracks.
I inserted the new card and connect the Stream to my computer and
the device was recognised by the computer.
I copied the book and pasted it onto the memory card but no
audible folder was identified by the computer as has happened in
the past on other memory cards.
I then copied a mumber of music files and pasted them onto the
card and these were placed in the same place as the audible book
previously copied.
In the past a music folder and other folders have automatically
appeared on a new card but not this time. So what am I doing wrong.
