Keep your fingers crossed, Barry, and perhaps leave it for a while longer. At the suggestion of quite a few on the internet, I've actually put PC keyboards through the dishwasher on a cool wash cycle with no detergent. The recommendation is a leave then in a nice warm airing cupboard for at least 3 days, turning them over every 12 hours or so to allow any pooling water to evaporate. Crazy idea, and only as a last resort before tipping a keyboard, but 8 out of 10 usually survive and go on for another year or more. If only I had taken out the extended warrantee. I never believed that these were worth the money. Still, would the warrantee cover me for accidental damage? I'll leave it drying out until this afternoon and see if it works. Still, it might have only fried the battery, which I can buy a replacement from Humanware. I did that with a Nokia about 4 years back. The Nokia did work again but it's camera was recked and it doesnt' remember the Date/Time if it's powered off. I still have it and have used it as an emergency spare. Regarding your Stream... You maybe covered still by Humanware if it is less than a year old. Try contacting Tom burton in Tech Support Humanware UK tom.burton@xxxxxxxxxxxxx . I feel your pain! Two days before I went on Microsoft Cert training (only in the last week or so), I managed to dump a cup of tea off a side table over my 3 week old MSI Laptop that I bought in Canada! The thing was wrecked. I dried it out for 24 hours but when I opened it the RAM, Motherboard and CPU were covered with stickyness from the Milk in the tea. I had to run up to PC World and buy a Toshiba I3 as I needed a machine to take away with me. Luckily our house insurance with Loyds are covering the liquid laptop! Perhaps it's the name? Maybe we're cursed? Lol Sorry fella I know it sucks. Best of luck with Humanware!
