Hi Niamh Welcome to the list. Between us, we try to help one another and have interesting views on assistive technology. I would recommend the Nokia C5 to you, which will run the Talks software. If you haven't come across Talks, where have you been? (smile). It is a mini screen reader that allows you to use your phone as a sighted person would. The RNIB sell the C5 with Talks, but you might also like to try www.comproom.co.uk or www.creativeeyes.co.uk I hope that puts you in the right direction. You will be pushed to find a handset with good buttons on it now unfortunately. I want to text and make calls, nothing more complex. 4. I would ideally like it to work in Ireland and France as I visit quite often. Simplicity is my greatest need I would love to be able to either walk into a mobile phone store or order on line and for it to work out of the box. All suggestions welcome, I am getting desperate?
