I too had to register several cards although I don't use visa on tescos I
had same thing with brittish airways, although at the time my card wasn't
registered, but I had no problems in registration process either or with
entering the password.

I've been using this for months. It takes you to a site you enter your Vesa
password, (which you got to specify), and it returns you to Tescos.
I dont' understand what difficulties you are having....
