Hi Amro,
Wow 128KBPS is hardly high bit rate. If they think that is high, we have no
chance of hi fidelity sound on the Stream.
All the best

Subject: [access-uk] VStreamnew gen and audio files problem
Hello all,
My question please is: is 128 kb/s bitrate MPEG4 audio file formats really that
uncommon?
I’m having problem fast forwarding/rewinding MPEG4 audio files on my Stream new
generation. I emailed Humanware and here’s what they said: “We have had our
developers look at the file and because of the high bitrate used (128 kb/s) you
are unable to fast forward and rewind with the current decoder on the stream.
We have listed this bug but I doubt we would address this anytime soon as those
high bitrate files are extremely unusual.”
Is this just an excuse? As well, would a kind person download any of the files
below and test it on their Stream new generation? I need to confirm the problem
is not actually specific to my device.

The problem is pressing fast forward/rewind when playing these files doesn’t
move five seconds in the file as it should. Instead nothing happens. Strangely
this problem doesn’t happen with the old Stream; that’s why I’m a little
sceptical.
TIA
