Hi Roger
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. In very basic terms, it keeps all your
internet use hidden. Imagine a tunnel from your house to the pub. No-one
would be able to see you coming or going to the pub. With a VPN, your computer
is like your home and the web address you want is the pub. Of course, the pub
is static whereas you can look at anything on the internet and there will still
be a virtual tunnel between you and it. The bonus is that it also makes emails
secure from intercept, which is great for business use.
Cheers

Hi Steve
Two questions for you, firstly what is the outlay on such a Rueter, secondly
who provides the VPN service. If the Rueter comes with unlimited VPN service as
standard, I presume that is hosted by someone as part of your purchase?

Hi,
Why not buy a router that has VPN as part of it. My Draytek has VPN and it
cost me precisely nothing for unlimited service.
Business grade routers tend to have VPN built into them.
All the best

Hi Barry.
I use Tunnel Bear VPN which offers you 500 mb of free service per month,
irrespective of whether you take out a paid plan with them. They are the only
VPN to my knowledge that offers clean, accessible clients on all the major
platforms including pc, Android and iOS. You can get a year service, they call
it the grizzly bear naturally for £59.99 per year.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] Accessible VPN
Hi all
I’m sorry for cross posting, but this question is time sensitive.
Are there any VPN that are accessible with Jaws 19? I’ve got a special offer
on Avast SecureLine VPN, but I don’t know if it is accessible. Anyone know?
Thanks in anticipation.
Cheers
Barry
