Hi Ian,

Well, they could always take Samantha off, and put Daniel and Emily on for
the British market, and use different voices for different markets.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] VOICES ON THE STREAM

News for those people who have or may express dissatisfaction with the TTS
voice known as Samantha on the new Victor Reader Stream. According to
information provided by Humanware in Canada, they are planning to introduce
new voices within the next six months. However, there are a number of
factors for them to juggle. For one thing the player's onboard memory will
only allow for two voices. For another while they are keen to offer an
alternative English voice, there are also demands from elsewhere for voices
using other languages.
