Hi George.

Thanks for that. Phew! I just hate the details layout. In fact George, I'm doing my best to get my VISTA computer to look like XP Home. I had XP Home set up lovely and it's so quick navigating around. I'm not sure if I like the VISTA Explorer as it requires many more key-strokes and it's so easy to get lost.

Thanks again.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Open one of your Vista folders, press Alt + v, and select
List or Details such that you get the view you want.
(Details is a more comprehensive listing)

Now press Alt + t to bring up the Tools menu, and select
"Folder Options".

Navigate to the "View" Tab.

In the View tab, press "Apply to Folders". You will get a
message asking you to confirm that you wish this view to
apply to all folders. Click Yes.

Job done!

George.

rather than List View

Hi all.

an anyone advise me how to permanently change my Windows
Explorer to show
files in a list, rather than in Details mode.

I'm using VISTA.

Thanks.

Best wishes.

Andy.
