Hi All
Just been to the Apple store in Glasgow before work to try and buy an Iphone 5
tried to explain the situation around VAT and possible discount of voiceover
and zooms. I eventually got to speak to a guy who told me he was one of the
managers. But he knew nothing of the possibility of getting VAT exempt on Apple
products. Also mentioned that I have heard of people getting a similar discount
at Apple stores across the country. Sadly I never got my phone or any discount.

Hi. I think Apple now are calling it a 20% discount rather than the VAT

Hi Sam,
This is the best advice I can give as a former anVAT officer.
There is no Exemptions, but Apple are either confused or trying to push the
boundaries, touched with a bit of kindest.
Ask your local Apple if Apple offer this if they say yes, take it.
They may give it, but trust me when I tell you the renenue have not granted
this, and it falls outside the rules.
