I can now report that the chaps who set up our TVonics box came back yesterday with a SCART lead. We now have a system whereby both our standard Sky DigiBox and the TVonics unit are connected to the TV via SCART. When we turn on the TV, the built-in Freeview comes on by default. If we then turn on either the Sky or TVonics devices, they will jump from one to the other, depending on which one we want to use. Our only concern is that the latest SCART leads are rather heavy, and the one when connected to the TVonics box looks rather precarious. If they had screws like the old Parallel cables where you could put them in and tighten them up, it would cause less strain on the pins. However, that's the best and easiest method for us. Using one device on HDMI and another on SCART is a real faff! Recording programmes and deleting them is easy, and looking through the EPG is also very helpful. Yes it does stick when you right arrow, but pressing this button twice quickly generally moves you on through the list. I think that is a bug! All in all, very good.
