Hi Martin,

Not necessarily. Some Broadband providers require you to be connected to
their router if you want to use their SMTP servers.

All the best

Steve

As I understand it, it doesn't matter what method you use to connect to the
internet, you can still use your current smtp and pop three.

Subject: [access-uk] Using Pop3 Email away from home

Apologies for cross-posting, but I need to know something regarding the use
of sending Emails while away from home.

I am taking both my iOS devices and BrailleSense with me when I go to
Scotland tomorrow, but when I wish to reply to any Emails I receive, what
SMTP protocol would I use? At the moment, my incoming and outgoing are both
mail.btinternet.com, so if I use WiFI where I am staying, do I just change
the SMTP to whatever their provider is, or is it more complicated than that?

I hope this makes sense, and thanks to anyone who manages to understand and
reply to this accordingly.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown
