Oh no not with me. I set the elevation to 100% because I guarantee safety of my system. 66% isn't good for me.

Hi Chris, Yes Microsoft have done a good thing with UAC. There are some circumstances were the settings should be tweaked and/or Elevation should be disabled, but for the most part for home/end-users it should be left at it's default. Cheers, Barry.-----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of chris hallsworth Sent: Monday, October 11, 2010 11:07 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Urgent - Help to Start-Up Laptop Windows 7 Hi Barry I love UAC I feel safe with it turned on. Do you recommend one keeping that control re blocking programmes or do you remove it? There's a Boot Menu that will appear. It's hard to give you exact instructions without knowing the system , from the point of not being able to see the screen. I would wait maybe about 15 seconds and press 1, followed by enter. Give it 3 seconds then try this again. If you're lucky this will boot youintoNormal mode. I can do this on my machines because I am used to their noises, boottimes etc. You can hit alt y for yes, and alt n for no on the User Account Control (UAC). Which is most likely what the prompt is about.
