Hi George,

No, for once you are right <Smile>. It is only the N82 that retains all its
settings and applications after an update so far.

All the best

Steve

I've an N95 8GB and upgrading firmware wipes the lot.

Of course Steve Nutt will probably tell me that I'm doing it
the wrong way!

Anyway, I backup first, then restore.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Updating mobile phone firmware

Hi, I've got an N95 but I don't know if it's running the
most up-to-date firmware. How to I check this and if there's
an update available, is the process of installing it as
simple as connecting the phone to the PC via PC suite and
clicking the update software option? And if I install a more
recent version of the firmware, will it wipe the memory so
all installed apps and text messages will disappear and will
need to be installed again?...cheers in advance
