Hi. You don't even have to wake the screen up just put your finger on the
button and press down.

Yes. You can do this with the Apple models that have Touch ID. Just wake up
the screen first and alight your finger for one second on the Home button.
You can identify more than one finger to do this in settings if you wish e.g.
I have my right thumb, my right index and my left index identified. You can
have fingerprints from more than one person identified too e.g. yours and
your partner’s fingerprints identified on the same device. To do this go to
Settings>Touch ID and Passcode. From there you can as well enable Touch Id to
use with Apple Pay, iTunes and the App Store.
HTH.

Subject: [access-uk] Unlocking iPhone
Hi all
I don't know if this is a recent feature, but did you know that you can
unlock your iPhone by using the touch ID pad without having to tap on the
'Unlock' icon?
Cheers
Barry
