Hi,

You need to contact your provider and ask them to unlock it their end.

This costs you about 20 pounds.

Then you put a different Sim card in, plug into iTunes and restore. That's the
process.

You wouldn't normally lock it again, why would you want to?

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Unlocking Iphone

Hi,

I am thinking of asking my network provider to unlock my iphone. I know for
other phones like Nokia that the unlock has nothing to do with the handset so
even if I format the firmware, it will still stay unlocked.
Is there any way an unlocked Iphone can go back to being locked again say for
example if I did a restore via Itunes?

Thanks,
