This is interesting. I used to have an E-mail address with NTL and also
had many problems both receiving and sending messages to and from hotmail
accounts. So it would seem this is a long-term ongoing situation.

Chris,

I have friends who have Hotmail addresses and have been suspicious of
mail going astray between NTL and Hotmail but I haven't proved it.

You can send to me off list if you like and we'll try a few messages
back and forth.

My address is under my signature.

Subject: [access-uk] Undelivered E-mails from Hotmail

Hello,

Is anyone having problems with e-mails from Hotmail accounts not being
delivered?

About a month ago a friend tried to send an e-mail from her Hotmail
account
to my NTL e-mail address. She got a message telling her that the
delivery
was delayed, so she tried a few more times with the same
result. Fortunately I still have an account with Boltblue, which I
rarely
use, so she was able successfully to send the message to the Boltblue
address. I have never received her original e-mails.

Since Tuesday another friend, who is also with Hotmail, has been trying
to
e-mail me and has received similar messages from the postmaster telling
him
that the delivery is delayed. To date I have not received anything from

him, whereas there had never been any problems in the four or five
months
that he has been using this Hotmail account. He always logs on to his
e-mail via a web browser, Internet Explorer, I think, rather than using
a
package such as Eudora or Outlook.

NTL has recently introduced some very effective spam filtering, so I am
wondering if this is the culprit. Before I contact NTL, I would like to

know if any other list members have experienced similar problems.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Chris
