I think I've solved the problem by having the viewed message open in a new message window.

Hi Ian.

Have you updated to the latest version of thunderbird? If not, this could be the problem as far as jaws is concerned. You can check for updates via the help menu in thunderbird.

Hello
I am using the latest builds of Windows 10 and JAWS 17. I am using Thunderbird as my email client. I am finding that there are messages where JAWS will only read the subjnect line. When I switch off the virtual cursor, I can tab through any links there might be. Messages read ok with NVDA. Any suggestions as to what I might change so that all messages read when using JAWS?
